Thanks to our administrator friend who is setting up this blog for our use. This comment is just a test to see how it works so the women in this prayer circle may be informed how to use it. thanks

Just a comment. After yesterday's declaration of independence by Kosovo, I've begun praying for the leaders of Kosova(their country's new name which I heard them cheer yesterday). Should we add them to the world leaders prayer list? The President is Fatmir Sejdiu and the Prime Minister is Hashim Thaci.
If you'll go to the Web, enter the following address and you'll receive a current list of all the heads of state and government --- including the unrecognized ones, of which Kosovo is listed as a State. The address is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_heads_of_state_and_government This is an excellent help in interceding with the Lord of All the Nations.

I am glad for some use of this blog...and informative too. I hope all of you who are a part of our prayer web will share here...give some of your own personal feelings about the focus of our monthly prayers. I will soon be posting something either on the blog or on your personal email...not sure yet, regarding the areas we have been praying about in the last few months. Blessings, dear friends. Lois

One of the simple but important ways to "Pray without ceasing" is to use television, radio, newspaper, etc., news items as prayer material...to God mention the countries, the leaders if given...and the issues. Several Psalms have much to say about nations and God's sovereignty...Psalm 2 to start with..many others. Lois

I think I may have scared everyone about using this blog so that you are not posting your comments on it. No reason to be scared...I just probably said too much...all that is important is that you just use your first name...I would love hearing from you and I know some of you would like to have comments from each other...give it a try...not hard...you know me, if I can do this, anyone can do this.

"Promotion comes from the Lord..." So many folks I know were praying for a specific outcome to the historic election that took place yesterday in this country. Now, we must pray for this man, chosen by the people to lead. I pray that God, present in all things, will enter the heart of president-elect Barack Obama and the people who will work with him. I pray asking God to be patient, grant wisdom, and bless the efforts made by this man in the coming months and years to serve and protect this country and the poor and suffering and persecuted throughout the world.
